Southern Investigation Detectives have released a comfit of a man who allegedly impersonated a Police Officer in Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said the man allegedly pulled over a 49-year-old male driver for speeding along Bloomfield Street on 2 July.

“The alleged offender informed the victim he was issuing him an on the spot fine of $550 for speeding.

“The victim handed over the money and the alleged offender left the scene, last seen driving towards Bradshaw Road.

“The alleged offender is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 180cm tall, slim build. At the time he had blond hair and a brown beard and was wearing a light purple dress shirt and grey dress pants. He was driving a blue sedan.”
