Sexual Assault Public Assistance Sought Alice Springs

Southern Investigation Detectives are calling for public assistance in relation to a sexual assault which occurred in Alice Springs last night.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said a 20-year-old woman was found walking north along the Stuart Highway near the intersection of Sargent Street at around 9pm.

“Police believe that the woman was assaulted in the vicinity of the tourist information bay opposite the Mount Nancy Hotel on the Stuart Highway.

“Police urge anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident, particularly anyone that may have been in the vicinity between 7 and 9pm yesterday evening, to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
