Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad are investigating a structural fire that occurred in Humpty Doo this morning.

Detective Sergeant Matt Allen said Fire and Rescue crews from Humpty Doo responded to a structural fire at a Community Hall on Challoner Circuit at around 5:40am.

“The fire was eventually extinguished after re-igniting multiple times throughout the day due to strong winds,” Detective Sergeant Allen said.

“The two-storey building was completely gutted by the fire.

“Detectives, Crime Scene Examiners and Fire Investigators have attended the scene. An investigation into the circumstances and cause of the fire is ongoing.

“Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who may have further information.
