A 16-year-old male youth will appear in Youth Justice Court today in relation to stealing offences.

Members of Strike Force Trident arrested 16-year-old male last night in relation to unlawful entry and stealing up to $100,000 worth of property from an Anula residence.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Strike Force Trident members attended a Moulden residence approximately 1.45pm yesterday, at which time the youth led police on a foot chase through the suburb.

“Members of the public assisted Police in locating the youth with Strike Force Trident members apprehending him a short time later on Bonson Terrace, Moulden.

“Strike Force Trident members successfully recovered a majority of the stolen goods.”

The youth was remanded in custody overnight.

He was charged with:
Aggravated unlawful entry of a dwelling
Stealing (x 2)
Breach of bail.
