Major Crime Detectives are investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman in Nightcliff.

Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan said the death may be related to a  disturbance in Sunset Park at around 11pm last night.

“The woman’s body was located this morning at Sunset Park just off Banksia Street in Nightcliff at about 6am.  Police are treating the death as suspicious.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
