Police

Two men will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today charged with possession of a commercial quantity of cannabis.

Detective Superintendent Peter Schiller said Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad executed a series of search warrants in the Darwin area and located 7.4 kilograms of cannabis at an industrial shed in Woolner and arrested a 45-year-old man.

“A second search warrant was executed at a residence in Moil where $3,250 in cash was seized and a 42-year-old man was arrested. A further search warrant at an industrial shed in Winnellie led to the seizure of $14,950 in cash.”

Both men were each charged with possession of a commercial quantity of cannabis. They were refused bail and will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 24 April 2014.
