Sexual Assault Arrest - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a 43-year-old-man following the alleged sexual assault of a 27-year-old female on 10 November, 2013.

Superintendent Brent Warren from the Southern Investigations Division said the victim and another relative were being driven home by the alleged offender.

“The relative was dropped off but the victim was driven into bushland and allegedly assaulted.

“The man was arrested overnight.”

The man has been charged with sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated assault and drive a motor vehicle while disqualified.

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
