A 30-year-old woman has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a 48-year-old woman in Alice Springs on Sunday morning.

It is believed an altercation occurred between the two women at a town camp on Saturday afternoon.

The 30-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
