Two Youths Charged - Alice Springs

Two males aged 16 and 17 will appear in Alice Springs Youth Justice Court today charged with a range of property offences.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said the two youths allegedly unlawfully entered an establishment in the Todd Mall and stole a quantity of alcohol on 7 December.

Detectives from Strike Force Vega arrested the 16-year-old and charged him with:

Aggravated unlawful entry – building

Damage to property

Stealing.

The 17-year-old was arrested a charged in relation to this incident, the alleged unlawful entry of a residence in East Side on 29 October, and the unlawful use motor vehicles on 27 and 29 October.

He was charged with:

Aggravated unlawful entry – building

Aggravated unlawful entry – dwelling

Stealing

Damage to property

Unlawful use of motor  vehicle (x2)

Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle

Breach of bail.
