Suspicious Person Woodroffe

Northern Territory Police are investigating an incident which occurred in Woodroffe yesterday afternoon.

Senior Sergeant Vicki Koum said it is alleged a male approached a 13-year-old female as she waited for a bus on Woodroffe Avenue, Woodroffe at around 3:30pm.

“The female told Police she sighted the male in the park area before he approached the bus stop shelter.

“A struggle occurred. The youth fled and the male has given chase, however the youth has got away and reported the matter to Police.”

Senior Sergeant Koum said Police would like to talk to anyone who may have seen a man in the vicinity of Woodroffe Avenue, Woodroffe between 3 and 4pm yesterday. The male is described as being approximately 180cm tall, Caucasian in appearance, around 30 years of age, medium build with short dark brown hair and blue eyes. He was described as wearing a blue T-shirt with a large white motif, knee length denim shorts with lines on the front and sandals.  

“High visibility Police patrols have been conducted around the area.

“The behaviour is concerning and Police would like to speak with anyone who may have information about the incident. Contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
