Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad are seeking public assistance in relation to an aggravated unlawful entry in Fannie Bay on 31 December.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Kerry Harris said the unknown male offender unlawfully entered the residence on Ross Smith Avenue at around 4:30am and stole a red Volvo Sports Coupe.

“A 62-year-old man was stuck by the vehicle as the offender fled the scene, the victim was treated for minor injuries.

“Police recovered the vehicle in Fannie Bay a short time later.

“The offender is described as European appearance, aged in his mid 30’s, approximately 185cms tall with a lean build.

“I urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have any information relating to it, to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
