Call for Witnesses - Sexual Assault - Alice Springs

Alice Springs Detectives are calling for public assistance following a reported sexual assault which occurred on Thursday 6th February in East Side Alice Springs.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Carmen Butcher said a 31 year old female was allegedly sexually assaulted by four males at approximately 11.00pm on Thursday evening, between Eastside and ANZAC Hill.

“The first person of interest is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, dark brown skin, about 25 years old, short curly black hair with an undercut above his ears, stubble approximately 180cm tall, fit build and was wearing a black t-shirt with a motif on the front and blue jeans.

“The second is described as male of Aboriginal appearance, light skin, about 20 years old, medium to skinny build, approximately 180cm tall, black short hair and was wearing a white baseball cap and white t-shirt.

“The third is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, dark skin, about 20 years old, skinny build, approximately 180cm tall, black straight short hair and was wearing a black t-shirt.

“The fourth is described as having fair skin, about 20 years old, long shoulder length black curly hair tied in a ponytail, sharp pointy nose, short, medium build, solid in statue. 

“He was wearing black and red NBL basketball singlet with a number on the front and denim shorts.

“The vehicle involved is a red four door sedan with a beaded necklace hanging from the rear-view mirror," Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Butcher said.
