Comfit Released - Attempted Sexual Assault - Call for Witnesses - Alice Springs

Police in Alice Springs have a released a comfit image of a man, following the attempted sexual assault in Alice Springs on Sunday night.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips said the incident occurred on George Crescent between 8pm-11pm.

“It is alleged the 21-year-old female victim was outside a unit complex when she was approached by a male who assaulted her and dragged her down the street,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Phillips said.

“It is believed the man attempted to sexually assault her before fleeing the area after being disturbed by a passing car.”

The offender is described to be of Aboriginal appearance, approximately 168cm tall and aged in his early twenties. He is of slim build with facial hair and had a dark messy ‘mullet’.

At the time of the offence he was wearing a black short sleeved t-shirt with graffiti style text across the front and dark blue jeans.
