Rifles Cash Stolen Alice Springs

Strike Force Vega Members are investigating the theft of cash and two rifles from a residence on Petrick Road.

Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Malley said unknown persons have forced entry into the house sometime between 7.30am and 8.30pm yesterday.

“A Winchester .303 rifle, a black coloured air rifle, ammunition for both and a significant amount of cash has been stolen from a secure location within the house.

“Police are asking anyone who has sighted these two rifles or has knowledge of their current whereabouts to please contact Police.

“Police would also ask anyone in the retail or service industries in Alice Springs and surrounding areas to report any person spending large amounts of $100 notes.”
