Stealing Public Assistance Sought Alice Springs

Southern Investigation Detectives are seeking public assistance in relation to two unlawful entries in Alice Springs early this morning.

Detective A/Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips said two bike stores were broken in to between midnight and around 1am this morning.

“Two bikes were stolen from a local bike store. One bike is described as being a 2014 Felt ‘Fuse’ BMX bike, rusty gold in colour with distinctive brown side wall tyres.

“The second bike is a unique Mountain Bike ‘Independent Fabrication’ brand and described as one of a kind. It has a raw titanium finish, belt drive (not chain driven), with Vittoria brand tyres.

“A second bike store was also broken into with two bikes stolen. The bikes are described as a white Scott Genius 50 Mountain Bike and a red and black King Pin BMX dirt/street bike,” Detective A/Senior Sergeant Phillips said.

Police urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may know these offenders or recognise these bikes, to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
