Since commencing five weeks ago, Strike Force Datsun has targeted domestic and family violence offenders in Tennant Creek and the Barkly Region with an arrest of a female offender overnight.

Superintendent Daniel Bacon of the Tennant Creek and Barkly Division said a woman has been charged for various domestic violence offences against her partner in Tennant Creek.

“A 23 year old woman was arrested near the scene after stabbing her partner with scissors.

“She was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endanger serious harm, armed with an offensive weapon, breach DVO and breach APO.

“The woman has been remanded in custody and due to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 27 March 2014.
