Police are seeking public assistance in locating prison escapee Graham Cowen.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Schiller of Serious Crime Squad said police acted on a tip off and attended a residence in the rural area of Acacia Hills.

“Mr Cowen evaded police and was last seen driving a white Toyota Lexan sedan heading toward the Stuart Highway on Townend Road.

“He is believed to be wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and no shoes.

“I ask the public to be on the lookout for Graham Cowen, but treat him with caution. 

“If sighted do not approach him, but contact Police immediately.

“Police will be issuing charges against the occupants where the fugitive was sighted and will be seeking forfeiture of the property under the Criminal Property Forfeiture Act,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Schiller.

NT Police urge members of the public if a vehicle fitting the description is sighted or they know the whereabouts of Graham Cowen to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
