Police arrested 15 people for numerous offences in a four day crackdown on crime in Tennant Creek.

Acting Superintendent Des Green said Police targeted offenders for numerous offences from Thursday through til Sunday.

“Police from Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Katherine arrested the 15 people for assaults, drink driving and breaches of Domestic Violence Orders, bail and of Alcohol Protection Orders.

“Nine vehicles were also defected and removed from the roads.

“In total 19 people were taken into protective custody.

“Police will continue conducting these types of operations as we are committed to keeping everyone in the town safe,” Acting Superintendent Green said.
