Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the 2012 Kubota excavator valued at $100,000, was stolen from the site on the Stuart Highway between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

“It appears a dual axle trailer or a tilt truck was used to load the excavator, nothing else was stolen from the site.

“The excavator is orange in colour has a construction company logo sticker on the boom.”

Police urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may recognise this excavator to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
