A 31-year-old man will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court following an unlawful entry in Nakara last night.

Watch Commander, Acting Senior Sergeant Tanya Mace said the offender allegedly entered the residence at around 7:30pm.

“A 40-year-old woman was home at the time and confronted the man. The alleged offender exited the house and was seen walking down Buchanan Terrace.

“The victim obtained a detailed description of the offender which enabled CCTV operators to identify the alleged offender walking down Bradshaw Terrace, opposite the bus exchange.

“The offender was arrested by Police as he was boarding a bus due to leave.”

He was charged with aggravated unlawful entry with attempt to commit offence.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before the Darwin Magistrates Court later today.
