Strike Force Trident Detectives have arrested four people following the seizure of 14 grams of methamphetamine in Fannie Bay yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Police apprehended a Toyota Prado exiting a residence at around 12pm.
“Police conducted a search of the vehicle and its three occupants as well as a 19-year-old woman returning to the complex.
“Police located and seized 13 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a knife inside the 19-year-olds handbag, and a further one gram of methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
“Police executed a search warrant of the residence and located a small amount of methamphetamine a small amount of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.”
Two males aged 20 and 22 and two females aged 19 and 21 were arrested.
The 19-year-old female was charged with:
Possess a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine in a public place
Possess thing to administer a dangerous drug
Possess a controlled weapon in a public place.
The 22-year-old male was charged with possess methamphetamine.
They will both appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
The 20-year-old male was charged with possess methamphetamine in a public place and will appear in court on 2 July.
The 21 year-year-old female was issued a summons notice.
