Northern Territory Police continue to search for a man believed to have been taken by a crocodile at the South Alligator River.

Family of the 62-year-old man alerted authorities to the incident yesterday afternoon, and a full scale search was launched, running through the night.

Jabiru Police, Gunbalanya Police, officers from the Water Police Section and Park Rangers are continuing to search for the man and the crocodile at the site of the attack.

No further information is available at this time.
