Detectives from Strike Force Trident are investigating a structure fire which occurred at a high school in Moil last night.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said Police received reports that two air conditioner units and a wheelie bin near Block A were on fire at around 9:50pm.

“Fire crews attended the scene and the fires were extinguished a short time later.

“Two air conditioner units, two smoke alarms and a wheelie bin were completely destroyed by the fire, causing approximately $5,000 worth of damage.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnesses any suspicious activity at the school last night or anyone with further information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
