Strike Force Trident have recovered around $13,000 worth of stolen property and charged a 22-year-old man in relation to a series of property offences.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Police allege the offender unlawfully entered a residence in Rosebery on 29 June and stole around $4,000 worth of power tools and $4,000 worth of fishing and camping equipment.
“Police allege the offender unlawfully entered a residence in Leanyer on 22 July and stole a jet ski and trailer. The alleged offender also hired a trailer from a business in Darwin on 21 July and failed to return it.
“Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Berry Springs and recovered the jet ski and around $300 worth of power tools. Police also located and seized five bullets inside the 22-year-old’s pocket.
“The two trailers were located by Police abandoned in bushland near the Shoal Bay dump.”
The 22-year-old man was arrested yesterday and charged with:
Unlawfully enter dwelling
Trespass (x2)
Stealing (x2)
Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
Interfere with motor vehicle
Possess ammunition (unsecured).
He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 27 August.
