Man and Woman Charged – Drug and Firearm Offences – Humpty Doo

A man and a woman are to appear in court today for their alleged involvement in an incident which occurred in Howard Springs last month, which saw the arrest of three men.

Constable Elle Bennett said a 37-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were arrested yesterday following a search warrant on a residence in Howard Springs.

“A dedicated strike force, led by the Serious Crime Squad and utilising a number of specialised Police units was established following an aggravated assault and firearm incident which occurred on 6 August.

“Detectives charged the 47-year-old woman with possess commercial quantity of cannabis.

“The 37-year-old man was charged with possess commercial quantity of cannabis, deliver firearm to unlicensed person and fail to meet storage requirements (x2).”

Both were remanded in custody overnight to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.
