NT Police have charged four people in relation to a disturbance within the Daly River community which occurred on Monday evening.
Superintendent Michael Hebb of Arnhem and Western Division said during the disturbance a glass door was smashed at a business premises, rocks were thrown at an occupied vehicle smashing a window and a series of traffic offences were committed.
Police have since charged the four males, aged 27, 43 and two aged 19 with a number of offences, including;
Recklessly Endangering Life
Criminal Damage
Mid-Range Drink Driving
Manner Dangerous
Fighting in a Public Place
Breach Alcohol Protection Order
Disorderly Behaviour in a public place
All four men have been remanded in custody to appear at Darwin Magistrates Court today.
“Engaging in this type of violent and destructive behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the community or the Police.
"Police will continue to work with remote communities to proactively engage, identify and address any issues.
