Police

Northern Territory Police from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad have charged a 28-year-old male with several offenses following a search warrant in Mitchell Street.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski said the man was charged following an unrelated incident.

“Police were conducting inquiries nearby when items usually associated with drug use were sighted.

“A search warrant was granted and Police allegedly discovered drugs and a 12 gauge shotgun with ammunition in the residence.”

The man has been charged with:

·         Possess Cannabis

·         Possess methamphetamine

·         Possess item to administer drug

·         Possess firearm while unlicensed

·         Possess ammunition while unlicensed

Detective Senior Sergeant Malogorski said the man was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.
