Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit have charged a 29-year-old man in relation to a number of sexual assaults on a child in Darwin’s rural area

It is alleged that the offender sexually assaulted the victim, who was known to him, a number of times over a two day period last year.

Sex Crimes Detectives have charged the man with sexual intercourse with a child under 16 (x5), aggravated assault and permit to indecently dealt with by a child.

He has been bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 17 September.
