Stabbing - Public Assistance Sought - Darwin City

Police are seeking public assistance following a stabbing incident that occurred in Darwin City early this morning.

Detective Acting Sergeant Belinda Sanderson said there was an altercation near Smith Street and Knuckey Street at around 1am.

“As a result of this altercation a 23-year-old male was stabbed and received injuries to his chest.

“He was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital and remains in a stable condition.

“Police would like to speak to the driver of a white Toyota Hilux dual cab seen in the area at the time of this incident. The vehicle had an aftermarket tray back, black wheels and dark tinted windows.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have any further information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
