Stealing with Violence - Public Assistance Sought - Darwin City

Police are seeking public assistance following a stealing with violence incident that occurred at Fort Hill Wharf overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Annette Cooper said a 56-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by three unknown males at around 12:30am.

“The three males assaulted the man stole his vehicle, a white Mitsubishi Express, and fled the scene. Police located the vehicle abandoned in Wanguri this morning.

“The man sustained injuries to his head and arm and was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed a white Mitsubishi Express being driven around Wanguri and the Northern Suburbs early this morning, or anyone with further information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
