Unlawful Entry Arrest – Alice Springs

A 26-year-old man is to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today following an unlawful entry at an Alice Springs hotel.

Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Malley from the Southern Investigation Division said it is alleged a number of rooms were unlawfully entered between Sunday 28 and Monday 29 September.

“Police were called to the scene when staff members located a majority of the stolen items in one guest’s room,” Detective A/Superintendent Malley said.

“Police seized a number of the recovered tools and televisions and arrested the 26-year-old man at the location.”

He was charged with:

Unlawful entry (x7)

Stealing (x7)

Possess methamphetamine

Possess schedule 2 drug (trafficable)

Administer dangerous drug to self

The alleged offender was arrested yesterday and remanded in custody overnight.
