Youth Charged with Multiple Offences - Darwin

A 13-year-old male was apprehended yesterday and charged with multiple property offences stemming back to September last year.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Strike Force Trident Detectives arrested the youth yesterday at a residence in Tiwi following an unlawful entry in Alawa in July.

“Following further investigations, Police established that the same youth was allegedly responsibly for up to six other offences which occurred in Malak, Sanderson, Palmerston, Casuarina, Alawa and Wulagi over the last 12 months.

“During these incidents a number of vehicles were interfered with and personal items from within the vehicles were stolen. Two schools and a house were also unlawfully entered and damaged.”

He was charged with:

Unlawful entry (x3)

Damage to property (x7)

Stealing (x5)

He was bailed to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court on 4 November.
