A 49-year-old man is to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today following a domestic incident in Larapinta early Sunday morning.
Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Malley said it is alleged an altercation occurred between the man and his partner at around 10am at their residence.
“Following the altercation it is alleged the man entered a Toyota LandCruiser and drove off at speed. In doing so, he crashed through a number of fences before leaving the area.
“The man handed himself in to Police a short time later.”
He has been charged with:
Recklessly endanger serious harm
Drive without due care
Drive without a licence
Fail to stop after a crash
Unlawful damage (x2)
He was remanded to appear in court today.
