Sexual Assault Public Assistance Sought - Darwin City

Police are seeking public assistance following a sexual assault that occurred in Darwin City.

Detective Superintendent Kris Evans from the Sex Crimes Unit said a 52-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a male on the Esplanade, between 6pm and 8pm yesterday.

“The offender is described as being of African appearance, aged between 20 and 30 years old and had black hair. He was wearing a black singlet with a Bob Marley picture on the front and dark jeans.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in this area last night or anyone with further information to contact Police 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
