Aggravated Assault Arrest - Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 40-year-old man this afternoon in relation to three aggravated assaults and an armed robbery.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Karl Day from the Serious Crime Squad said the man was arrested after an alleged armed robbery in Stuart Park this afternoon.

“It is also alleged the offender committed the aggravated assaults on 6 November under Daly Street Bridge and 11 November, at Civic Park and West Lane.

“Members from Territory Response Group arrested the man without incident in Darwin Botanic gardens today,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Day said.

Investigations are ongoing.
