Witnesses Sought - Aggravated Assault – Darwin City

Police are seeking witnesses to an assault which occurred in Darwin City last week.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day from the Serious Crime Squad said an altercation occurred between two men at around 1am on Friday.

“As a result of the altercation, a 34-year-old man was stabbed multiple times. He was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital and remains in a stable condition,” Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day said.

A 26-year-old man was charged with unlawfully cause serious harm and remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 16 December.

CCTV footage captured in the area shows a witness walking past and stopping to watch the incident. Police wish to speak with this man, as well as any other witnesses who were in the area at the time.
