Police are calling for public assistance after a vehicle was stolen and crashed in Moil last night.

Superintendent Louise Jorgensen said the white NT registered Toyota Hilux utility was stolen sometime between 8.00 pm last night and 5.00 am this morning, 2 December.

“The vehicle was stolen from the backyard of a house on Greenwood Crescent, Moil and was involved in a crash a short distance up the road.

“The vehicle was abandoned after it struck a white WA registered Volvo V70 station wagon causing the aluminium tray to come off the back of the Toyota.

“It is a timely reminder to secure your keys or risk losing your vehicle,” said Superintendent Jorgensen.
