Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a crash which occurred on the Stuart Highway late last night.

Senior Sergeant Neil Hayes said two vehicles collided on the Stuart Highway near Percy Street at around 11:20pm.

“It appears a Toyota Hilux was turning right from Percy Street onto the Stuart Highway as a dark blue Holden Commodore was travelling north on the highway at speed without its headlights on.

“The two vehicles collided, causing the hilux to roll onto its side.

“The driver of the Holden Commodore fled the scene on foot.

“Two occupants from the Hilux were taken to Alice Springs Hospital with suspected minor injuries.”

Police urge anyone who may have any information relating to the crash, or who may have seen the Holden Commodore, NT registration CB52PU earlier in the night, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
