Major Crime Squad Detectives have charged a 39-year-old man with murder following the death of a 36-year-old woman in Charles Creek Camp in Alice Springs yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Tony Henrys said the man was located by Alice Springs Detectives at approximately 1:30pm on Saturday and taken into custody.

"He was charged this evening and is remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 22 December 2014".
