Unlawful Entry -Arrests - Alyangula

Police have charged four males in relation to an unlawful entry in Alyangula on 3 January.

Senior Sergeant Alex Brennan from Alyangula Police said two males aged 29 and 25 unlawfully entered a residence in Alyangula and a further two males aged 16 and 23 received stolen property.

“The 29 and 25-year-old males caused damage to the property whilst unlawfully entering the residence and stole a quantity of alcohol before taking it to a nearby community. The four males then allegedly consumed the alcohol in the community.

“Police later observed the four males travelling in a vehicle along Rowell Highway. A pursuit was initiated by Police but terminated shortly after due to concerns for other motorists.”

The 25-year-old was charged with:

Unlawful entry
Stealing
Damage to property
Consume liquor in alcohol protected area

He will appear in Alyangula Court on 14 January 2015.

The 16-year old was charged with:

Dangerous drive during pursuit
Drive under the influence of alcohol
Consume liquor in alcohol protected area
Receive stolen property
Drive unlicensed and drive uninsured motor vehicle

He was remanded to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court on 5 January 2015.

The 23-year-old was charged with:

Receive stolen property
Consume liquor in alcohol protected area

He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 5 January 2015.

The 29-year old was charged with:

Unlawful entry
Stealing
Damage to property x 2
Bring liquor into alcohol protected area
Consume liquor in alcohol protected area
Drive under the influence of alcohol
Drive unlicensed and drive uninsured motor vehicle

He will appear in Alyangula Court on 14 January 2015.
