Strike Force Vega continues in 2015

Detectives from Strike Force Vega have summonsed a 13-year-old male for his alleged involvement in a number of unlawful entries in Alice Springs.

Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Malley said it is alleged the youth was involved in the unlawful entry of a number of premises in June, October and November last year.

“During these incidents, personal items and alcohol was stolen and thousands of dollars’ worth of property was damaged,” Superintendent Malley said.

“The youth was interviewed yesterday and has been summonsed to face multiple charges of unlawful entry, damage to property and stealing.

“Since 1 July 2014 Strike Force Vega Detectives have made 224 arrests, summonsed 39, identified 863 offences and conducted 44 search warrants which resulted in 381 prosecution files.

“Strike Force Vega Detectives will continue to target offenders to reduce the rate of property and drug related crime in the Alice Springs area.”
