Alice Springs Detectives have arrested two youths in Alice Springs following the death of a 53-year-old male in Yuendumu yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Tony Henrys from the Major Crime Squad said the two youths are currently in custody assisting Police with enquires.

“It appears that both youths were known to the deceased.

“Forensic experts and Detectives from the Major Crime Squad in Darwin have travelled to Alice Springs this morning to support the efforts of Alice Springs Police.

“A crime scene remains in place and the investigation is ongoing.
