Northern Territory Police have summonsed a 39-year-old male Police Officer with one count of aggravated assault.

The Police Officer has been suspended from duty and will appear in the Katherine Court of Summary Jurisdiction on 23 February 2015.

 As the matter is currently before the court, NT Police will not be providing any further information.
