Detectives from Strike Force Vega have charged a 15-year-old youth following several unlawful entries in the town.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said four separate residential addresses were unlawfully entered on Sunday and Monday nights.

“The youth was observed in the Todd Street mall yesterday and arrested a short time later.

“During the arrest the youth has allegedly assaulted a Police officer.”

The youth was charged with four counts of unlawful entry, four counts of stealing, three counts of damage to property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, armed with an offensive weapon, breach bail and assault Police.

He will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
