A 26-year-old man has been charged with a number of drug charges following a traffic apprehension in Alice Springs yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said members from the Southern Drug Investigation Unit apprehended a Holden Commodore on Stott Terrace yesterday at around 3:30pm.
“Police seized a double edged knife, 18 grams of cannabis, a small quantity of methamphetamine, scales, clip seal bags and a quantity of cash.
“Police allege the male had been selling both substances to people in Alice Springs."
He was charged with:
Possess a controlled weapon
Possess cannabis
Possess methamphetamine
Unlawfully supply dangerous drug (cannabis)
Unlawfully supply schedule 1 drug (methamphetamine)
Possess thing used to administer drug
Administer a dangerous drug to self
He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
