Katherine Police continue to search for missing man Andrew Cooper, who was last seen at a residence in Katherine’s east side about 2.00am on Thursday 5 February 2015.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Ian Kennon from the Northern Investigations Section said Police were alerted to the disappearance of Mr Cooper at 8.30am on Thursday morning.

“A friend of Mr Cooper described his behaviour as being ‘strange’ and ‘out of character’ hours before he went missing. Mr Cooper is believed to be diabetic however information suggests he was not in possession of any medication.

“Mr Cooper is a 46-year-old male of Aboriginal appearance and is described as being approximately 180cm tall and of a medium build. Mr Cooper has curly black / grey hair and a ‘goatee’ beard. He was last seen wearing a pair of blue denim shorts with no shirt and was possibly carrying a yellow Dolphin brand torch. Mr Cooper was also wearing a metal brace on his left arm which was fitted between his left wrist and elbow.

“Local Police as well as officers from the Darwin Metropolitan Command and Missing Persons Unit have been unable to locate Mr Cooper following numerous enquiries.”
