Police have charged a 36-year-old male following an aggravated robbery overnight.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland from Strike Force Trident said the alleged offender was arrested by general duties members following an altercation in Parap.
He was interviewed and charged with:
- Aggravated robbery
- Unlawfully cause serious harm
- Stealing
- Assault a defenceless person
- Armed with an offensive weapon
- Unlawfully use a motor vehicle
- Drive a motor vehicle whilst unlicensed
- Unlicensed driver with alcohol in blood
- Possess cannabis
“The alleged offender was also questioned in relation to an unlawful entry in Parap earlier this month. Further, he was charged with; unlawful entry, damage to property and stealing.”
He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court tomorrow.
