Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Section have charged a 26-year-old woman with drug offences following the seizure of 5.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Acting Commander Tony Fuller said Police apprehended the vehicle the alleged offender was driving in Anula at around 3:30pm on Thursday.
“Detectives conducted a search of the vehicle and located 3.5grams of methamphetamine divided into quarter gram clip seal bags.
“A search warrant was executed at the woman’s residence in Wulagi and Police located a further 2 grams of methamphetamine, some cannabis, prescription medication, a taser and drug paraphernalia.”
She was arrested and charged with:
Possess methamphetamine trafficable quantity
Supply methamphetamine
Possess poison (x2)
Possess cannabis
Possess thing to administer dangerous drug
Possess prohibited weapon
Drive unlicensed
She was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on Monday, 2 March.
