Detectives from Strike Force Trident have seized a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine while executing an arrest warrant in Palmerston on Saturday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said Police arrested a 26-year-old man at a residence in Woodroffe after he allegedly stole groceries and a $300 set of headphones at Casuarina in January.
“During the arrest warrant Police located a quantity of methamphetamine, a search warrant was executed and a total of 25 grams of methamphetamine was seized.
“The 26-year-old was charged with possess methamphetamine – trafficable quantity and stealing.”
He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
