Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged three youths with sexual offences.

The youths, aged 16-19, are alleged to have had sexual intercourse with the same 13-year-old girl over a period of several months.

“The child presented to her community clinic and subsequently disclosed that she had had intercourse with the three youths,” said Superintendent Brent Warren.

“As a result of further investigations, the three youths were arrested by the Alice Springs Child Abuse team.”

They have each been charged with having sexual intercourse with a child under 16 years and have been bailed with conditions, to appear next month.

In the interests of protecting the identity of the victim, further information cannot be released.
